Our project to learn more and spread the culture of “Iraqi Dances" with Teacher Assala Ibrahim began in 2018.

In that year we had the opportunity to show the greatness of Arab dances, from a cultural point of view in the prestigious "Sala della Protomoteca" at Campidoglio in Rome, thanks to the famous art dealer Anna Maria Brazzò.

We have the chance to present to Rome's audience, our vision of "The Geen Veil", that connect countries of ancient Mesopotamia with music and dance.

For us, dance is an universal language, a peaceful way of communication and cultural identity expression, which absolutely must not be lost.

For us Iraqi Dances symbolize the origin, the birth of Middle Eastern dance, thanks to its ancestral artistic and cultural heritage linked to the Mesopotamian civilizations.

After the forced break in dance, due to the pandemic and the global crisis, we will finally have the honor of having again with us in Rome the Master Teacher Assala Ibrahim for an intensive training that will involve teachers and dancers from all over the world. This time the project will be expanded with the support of Iraqi artist Nawaf Al Kaabi, singer and percussionist of "Kheshba".

The great news is that in occasion of the “Iraqi Dances Intensive", we will have the big honor to present again "The Green Veil" vision of Assala Ibrahim, Samira Zenati and Maryem Bent Anis, hosted by Sapienza University of Rome.

"Ancient Sciences" department, in collaboration with "European, American and Intercultural studies" department of Sapienza University of Rome, will host "The Green Veil" the conference “Music, rhythm and dance between the Arabic Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean”.
